Mark o Sullivan - Viva Voodoo

out on August 10 th

Mark O'Sullivan is on fire and Viva Voodoo is proof that he is approaching a peerless quality in regards to the prolific and relentless release of superb techno and masterful remix collection. From his early days as The Mighty Quark to his current collaborations with Dahlback, Psycatron, Manuel Perez and Corrugated Tunnel to his solo efforts with Nice & Nasty, Process and Delikat, O'Sullivan is a tour de force of modern music making that includes Techno, minimal, Detroit, Acid House, Deep House and dare we say it the odd Rock and Pop collab as a studio boffin. Mark O'Sullivan is a skilled engineer, renowned remixer and world class producer and in-demand DJ. Viva Voodoo is his first release on Nice & Nasty since last years acclaimed Album 'Fragments from a Long Country' and the subsequent remixes and O'Sullivan doesnt fail to deliver and inspiring piece of acid tech funk with splendid remixes from Manuel Perez (Lace, Enjoy) and Nachklangmusik (DXR).Remixes from:Manuel Perez delivers two deep and funky versions that retain the edgey acid house vibes of the original and add subtle strings and deepnees without dropping the relentless groove.Nachklangmusik completes the package and stays true to the original acid vibe and trades some of the funk for a little bit of Detroit steel that is reminiscent of Forgemasters, Gerald Simpson and early Detroit techno y Suburban Knight, The Martian etc.All in all Viva Voodoo is a deadly club cut that will inspire House, Techno and all manner of DJs from London to Ibiza to Tokyo to drop it.

Italians are fucking mental. Whilst Glaswegians dole out exotic levels of passionate mayhem. So please meet Marco Bernardi. A hybrid of these two energies and one of the most boisterous sonic sorcerers to forge epic, lysergic towers of sound since Ron Hardy blew people's skulls off two decades ago in The Warehouse. Add in some Swedish-Irish hybrid passion and sophistication; some proper Dublin underground vibes; some cool and collected German funk; and a wee dollop of Glaswegian acerbic acid and you get one of the most interesting and sonic pleasing sci fi adventures that not only represents the Glasgow underground, the Dublin scene it is pure global masterclass in techno.Dibadabi is the second of the two remix packs to be orchestrated by Marco Bernardi and Desy Balmer from Marco's 'Bangla road Gentlemnas Club' EP and again marco's star rises and rises beyond the galaxy. This is four tracks of sheer funk. Proper techno funk that will rock the more discerning dance floor and please the more discerning punter anywhere and everywhere.
